Hi, Thanks for stopping by. I’m Kyle Armstrong from Whale Tale in Adelaide, South Australia.

I am a predominantly self taught artist who loves the diversity that art can bring.

After 15 years of creating a myriad of artistic pieces with an airbrush, I diversified my skill set into traditional sign painting, pinstriping and goldleaf.

I have now been creating for the best part of 25 years and have been working as a full time artist for the past 5 years still continuing to challenge my skills set as I go. Up until 3 years ago i hadn't picked up a spray can or paint brush to create however this now plays a significant role in my work.

My latest obsession is reverse glass art, this is using a combination of all of my skill sets in a creation, I love how glass is the perfect surface and once you add gold leaf and paint to the back it comes to life with different moods throughout day and night.

All in all my art bio is hard to nail down, I don't specialise in one medium or style but prefer to experiment, develop and grow into art. Sometimes my art is simple, sometimes complex but my intention is always to create art that tells stories and evokes feeling. Broadly speaking its a mixture of 25 years of learning, experimenting and growing and it's been one hell of a journey so far.
